An artist and architect led walk
Artist, Julia Riddiough and architect, David Kitt will share their local knowledge about art and architecture. Laced with history and the odd artful anecdote this walk will complement and close the summer exhibition at Hantverk & Found, ‘Cartographies’.
Building on the success of artist led walks for the Whitstable Biennale, Margate Festival and a-n Assembly, this walk reveals and celebrates a unique and thriving arts and architecture ecology. After visiting some hidden gems and secret locations we will visit Hantverk & Found for a light lunch and a look at the ‘Cartographies’ exhibition. The walk will culminate with our own map-making session; recreating our walk with your insights and images which will be printed in-situ. This piece of communal artwork will then go on display in the Hantverk & Found Gallery.
Places on the walk are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Please contact Julia Riddiough to book and include any dietary requirements (please note Hantverk & Found is a seafood cafe).
If you have booked but are unable to attend please let us know as soon as possible so that your place can be offered to someone on the waiting list. Thank you.
We are grateful to Margate Festival and Kent County Council for their support of the gallery. The festival is running now, so check out the programme and see what else is going on!
